We are glad you're here

Welcome

We’re Always Excited to Welcome New Visitors

At Waldheim Church, we’re always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you’ll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as comfortable as possible. Here’s what you can expect when you come to either our 9:00 or 10:30 a.m. service.

Our church is located at 77067 Highway 21, Covington, Louisiana.

If you have mobility restrictions feel free to use one of the spots closest to the fellowship hall or sanctuary doors. If you have young children, feel free to utilize our nursery and childcare available in our youth building during both services.

When you walk in,

find one of our greeters and introduce yourself. They’re stationed at the doors and will show you where everything is. They’ll help you find the nursery and Sunday school rooms if you have kids. Our greeters can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary and fellowship area. If you have any questions about the service itself, the greeters are able to provide helpful answers.

Be sure to gather between services and join us for coffee.

You’ll have a chance to meet many other people in the church and share in fellowship. We’d also love to get to know you so you’re a familiar face the next time you come.

What To Expect

When you come to join us for the first time,

one of our greeters will be glad to help you become comfortable. If you’d like, they’ll help you find the nursery, childcare, Sunday school, restrooms, fellowship hall, sanctuary and, of course, coffee between services.

During the service,

you’ll hear our faith expressed in the songs we sing, prayers we offer up and our pastor’s preaching. All parts of our service are grounded in the Bible, which we are committed to upholding. At Waldheim Church, we agree with the Apostle’s Creed and Nicene Creed, which we may read during the service. The Apostle’s and Nicene Creeds are two of the most ancient Christian creeds, and you’ll find they are upheld by almost all churches today.

After the service,

Say hello to our pastor and anyone else you see. We’d all love to hear your story and share ours with you.

No matter what your Christian background is (or isn’t), we hope you’ll join us on Sunday. Here at Waldheim Church, you’ll find people of all sizes, stripes and colors, and we welcome everyone–including you. Our services start at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. every Sunday.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Do you like knitting?

Then you may want to join the ladies in our Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Prayer Shawls, sometimes called comfort shawls, peace shawls, or mantles, are intended to be a reminder of God’s ever-present love.

Shawls have been made for centuries; they wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace, shelter and beautify.

Those who receive these shawls are uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to fly above their troubles.
